Meet the Author
Hi, I’m Matt Twinley – children’s author, former English teacher and founder of Landmark Legends™.
Before Landmark Legends, I spent years working in schools, helping children discover the joy of reading and writing. I’ve written plays for school productions and seen first-hand how storytelling can spark imagination and bring learning to life.
I started Landmark Legends because I believe history shouldn’t feel distant or dull; it should be something children can connect with and experience – and storytelling is the best way to bring history to life! Each book reimagines the history of a real UK landmark and its legends through exciting characters, heartwarming moments, and plenty of humour & adventure.
My goal is simple: to get kids reading, imagining and asking questions about their history and the world around them.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me exploring castles, scribbling new ideas, or sharing stories with my own little adventurer at home.
